1We believe in the complete infallibility, and authority of the inerrant Word of God, given to mankind by divine inspiration of the original autographs and preserved in pure text to this day through the influence of the Holy Spirit. The King James Version is the only English translation to be used in The Baptist College International.

Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:16-21; Luke 24:13-28; John 16:12-16; Psalm 12:6-7; Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 138:2; Psalm 100:5

2We believe in the Triune God, perfect, infinite, and eternal. The Trinity exist as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Each has an individual identity and separate responsibilities, yet all are perfectly united as three Persons in One.

Genesis 1:1, 26; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; 1 John 5:1-8; John 10:30; John 16:7-18; Matthew 28:19

3We believe Jesus Christ is the second person of the Blessed Trinity, the only begotten Son of God, and that He became man by the miracle of the virgin birth. As God the Son manifested in the flesh, He was conceived of the Holy Ghost, totally apart from sin, being wholly man and wholly God.

John 3:16; John 1:1-14, 18; John 14:9; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 10:36; I John 4:2

4We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment to come. The Holy Spirit indwells all who have been born again from above and baptizes into the Body of Christ all regenerated people the moment they receive Christ as Savior. The Church which is Christ’s Body consists of all those who, in the present dispensation, truly believe and accept Jesus Christ as Savior.

1 Cor. 1:2; 10:32; 12:13; Eph. 2:13-18. Acts 15:6-11; Gal. 3:2,14; Rom. 8:9, 14-27; 10:13-17; James 1:18; John 1:12; Matt. 16:16-18

5We believe in the substitutionary atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. Having suffered death for everyone (Hebrews 2:9; John 6:44-69; John 3: 118; Romans 3:25; Romans 5:6-10; Revelation 1:5; Hebrews 9:22; 1 Peter 1:18-19, I Peter 2:24), and that on the basis of his substitutionary death and resurrection, all who repent and believe, accepting Jesus Christ as Savior receive God’s gift of eternal life (John 10:28-29; 13:38-14:4; I John 5:12-13; Hebrews 7:22-25; Romans 8:34; Rom. 10:9-10; Eccl 3:14; Revelation 22:17).

Because it is given wholly of grace and based completely upon Christ Jesus’ sacrifice, nothing can be added to that sacrifice or taken from it, therefore God’s wrath has been completely placated in the sacrificed Lamb of God.

6We believe in the personality of Satan, the arch enemy of every true believer in active opposition to God and His creation and plan. As one of God’s created beings, Lucifer rebelled in pride, in a futile attempt to usurp God’s throne. In his fall, he drew one-third of God’s angels to deceive the unwary and careless. His weaponry includes that which is abominable, vile and evil deception, subtle wiles, the mixing of error with truth, and the constant undermining of God’s authority. He and his false spirits can influence charlatans to appear as the servants of the Most High God, therefore, every experience and teaching must be examined in light of God’s Word.

Ezekiel 28:12-19; Isaiah 14:12-17; 1 Peter 5:8-9; Revelation 12:9-10; Matthew 4:2-11; Isaiah 8:20; 2 Corinthians 11:1-15; 1 John 4:1

7We believe in the imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ; the catching away, or rapture of his saints; followed by the great tribulation period; the second coming of Jesus Christ, when Christ returns, bodily and visibly to establish His millennial Kingdom on the earth; the judgment of the unsaved; the destruction of the Earth; and the establishment of a new Heaven and a new Earth.

John 14:1-4; Acts 1:11; I Cor. 15:51-53; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 5:6-10; I Thess. 1:10, Zech. 14:4; Rev. 11:15; Titus 2:13; Rev. 21:1

8We believe in the physical resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the grave, the third day according to the Scriptures. He ascended bodily into the heavens and is now at the right hand of God as our Mediator, Priest, and Advocate.

Acts 3:12-26; John 20; Hebrews 9:24; 1 Corinthians 15:12-28; 1 John 2:1; Mark 16:1-18

9We believe in the eternal security of all who have placed their complete trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and have received a new relationship in the family of God which is based upon Christ’s imputed righteousness, not our own. God imparts to the believing sinner eternal life, meaning life without end, and everlasting life, meaning life without interruption. Sin in the life of the believer affects ones fellowship with the Father, not relationship. Therefore, although a Christian may lose rewards, the Bible affirms no loss of relation between the child of God and his Father. All who are truly born of the Spirit and who continue in sin will be dealt with by the chastening hand of God.

John 3:15-19; 2 Cor. 5:14-21; John 10:25-29; 1 John 1:5-10; Hebr. 12:6-13; 1 Cor. 3:11-15; Philippians 2:12; 1 Cor. 3:8-15; 2 John 8; Rev. 3:11; Rom. 8:29-30; Eph. 1:13-14; 4:30

10We believe God created all things in six literal, twenty-four hour days. We believe evolution in any form to be contradictory to the clear teaching of Scripture. We believe in the universality and exceeding sinfulness of sin. Man was created by a direct act of God and in His image, subsequently and voluntarily fell from his sinless state in the Garden of Eden. Adam, having received a sin nature in direct result of his fall, doomed all of mankind born thereafter to inherit a sin nature at birth. Consequently, all men are sinners in nature as well as in deed, and hopelessly doomed apart from the grace of God.

Genesis 1-3; 9:6; Rom. 3:10-26; 5:12-21; 6:23; Eze. 18:4; Psalm 51:5, John 3:16; Ephesians 2:1

11We believe that man is justified on the sole ground of faith, that salvation is by grace through faith in the shed blood and bodily resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and that it is received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as a gift of God, neither merited nor secured by any virtue or work of man.

Rom. 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9; 5:8; Gal. 1:6-10; Romans 1:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; John 5:24

12We believe that Heaven is a real place of eternal blessedness prepared by God for all those who, in their lifetime on Earth, have placed their complete faith in Christ Jesus and His shed blood. Hell is a real place of eternal suffering for all those who have not done so. After one dies, there is no intermediate state in which lost souls can make atonement for their sins.

John 14:1-6; Revelation 7:13-17; 20:11-15; 21:8, 22-27; 2 Corinthians 5:1-10; Luke 16:19-31

13We believe that every Christian living a life totally dedicated to obedience in Christ, will live separated from worldly practices, such as immodest clothing, ungodly music, and sinful habits.

2 Cor. 6:14-18; John 14:15
