“Too often through the years, the church has failed to encourage its members to utilize their gifts.”  (Leslie Flynn)  But, if you look to the pages of the New Testament, you’ll find a very different reality.  In the Biblical mold, it wasn’t the “pros” that served the Lord, it was everybody.  As a matter of fact, a case can be made for believing that if God had not intended for us to serve Him in this life, He could have taken us to heaven at the very moment of our salvation!  Obviously, that didn’t happen.  So, the conclusion is that He has something for each of us to do.

But, more than that, He has equipped each of us with the spiritual gifts to accomplish the work.  And that means that we must all discover, develop, and deploy our spiritual gifts.
